Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, the Agile Project Manager will be an integral part of the Digital Services team’s success. The Agile Project Manager will perform a hands-on role working with internal and external stakeholders, directing and managing the full project lifecycle of technology change requests across enterprise-wide initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops strategies and directs teams ensuring project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off.
  • Takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium scale projects with diverse scope. Facilitates scoping and business priority setting for
    complex changes, engaging senior stakeholders as required.
  • Tracks resources and assures deliverables are met, negotiates effectively for key resources, and screens and selects team members.
  • Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements seeking to fully address needs, identifying, evaluating and recommending options, plus the establishment of a base-line on which delivery of a solution can commence.
  • Applies structured iterative methodologies, manages scope changes and communicates the impacts, and secures approval when needed.
  • Ensures that realistic project plans are developed and maintained, and consistently informs stakeholders.
  • Uses metrics and project plans to assess the success of the project and makes necessary changes. Reports project progress to project sponsors and management.
  • Analyses relationships between apparently independent problems and issues. Probes and initiates research to identify critical problems. Reviews and cross-reviews reports. Identifies trends and translates analytical reports into management presentations, and provides guidance to resolve issues.
  • Leads knowledge transfer and project post-mortem for lessons learned and improves best practices.
  • Identifies, quantifies and manages issues impacting delivery of projects. Establishes clear goals and priorities needed to assess performance.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors. Influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Identify performance issues take remedial action where necessary. Provide regular feedback on staff performance.
  • Champion greater utilization of digital toolkit across the organization to drive out continuous improvement and adoption.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally within the funds industry (preferred) or broader financial services industry, in highly regulated environments.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge and experience in project management methodologies.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery, utilizing various frameworks, tools and techniques.
  • Extensive applications/technology knowledge, building on specialist domain knowledge.
  • Extensive experience with all stages of the product development lifecycle (concept to launch).
  • Strong knowledge of new and emerging technologies based on own area of expertise.
  • Experience in advising clients and clearly communicating the benefits of implementing specific solutions and identifying areas to add value.
  • A proven record in collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, in the conduct of investigations for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies.
  • Advanced data analytical skills and outstanding problem-solving capabilities, particularly with loosely defined structure and scope.
  • Proven ability in assuring project meets quality standards by providing guidance and developing procedures relating to product quality assurance, test planning, creation and execution.
  • Experienced in financial management and reporting, to ensure budgets are kept on track.
  • Expert skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Demonstrable professional integrity and dedication to upholding the company’s high-quality standards and customer service focus.
  • Proven adherence to legal and regulatory guidelines, and in-house policies and business ethics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at both senior management and end user level.
  • Must be highly motivated, self-driven, proactive and seek continuous learning opportunities.
