We are seeking to appoint an AfOx Scholarship Programme Manager to join the Africa Oxford Initiative at the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nuffield Department of Medicine.
Reporting to the Africa Oxford Initiative Programme Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the AfOx Scholarship programme. You will facilitate the delivery of a bold new scholarships program for African students. Key elements of this programme include: adequate support and preparation for students to take up their studies, intensive emphasis on life skills beyond academia, support for a lifelong network of alumni. This job role also involves Line management of 2/3 members of staff, including the AfOx Student Engagement Officer and AfOx Graduate Scholarship – Student Facilitator.
It is essential that you hold a degree in a relevant discipline and have significant program management experience. Previous administrative experience in a university with a student focused role, is essential and you will have the ability to work independently using own initiative and as part of a team demonstrating a flexible and helpful approach, particularly with respect to colleagues and partners based in Africa.
