Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer – Checker/Approver with Signatory Delegation
Job Description:
- Perform analytical prediction of fatigue, fracture initiation, crack growth and conduct fracture control reviews to establish component monitoring limits, retirement time and inspection intervals using Airbus ISAMI / customer tools, NASGROW
- Support and interface design of aircraft structures working with design organizations, material and processes, structural test labs, flight test, manufacturing and certification authorities
- Verify and validate the analysis prepared by the engineering team and perform reviews
- Write and review technical reports
- Work closely with Signatories for approvals
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required
- Master’s degree is preferred
Position Requirements:
- At least 12 years of experience in structural mechanics, fatigue and fracture mechanics
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Exposure to material / component fatigue testing preferred
- Experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis of Airbus wing structures (Metallic / Composites) and complex metallic fittings
- Experience in working with Signatories for approvals for airworthiness
- Experience in Airbus tools ISAMI and NASGROW
- Experience in PATRAN / NASTRAN
- Knowledge of FAA and EASA rules for fatigue analysis

Salary: £32,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
