Due to ongoing expansion, Alten Ltd is looking for Stress Engineers to join our team in Bristol within the aerospace sector. This is a fantastic chance to join a fast-growing company with strong core values ofAccountability, Integrity and Service.
Your new role:
As a Stress Engineer, you will be one of our consultants performing on one of our major engineering projects in the UK. You will also be contributing to our development and growth within the Aerospace industry.
As aStress Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Performing stress analysis, using standard classical methodsand computational tools, along with some fatigue analysis
- Ensuring the modelling and analysis configuration
- Contributing to structural analysis reports
- Taking part in the Finite Element modelling
- Identifying any structural modifications required
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result oriented and proactive mind-set. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with Alten, developing their engineering knowledge as a Stress Engineer and a consultant.
Experience required:
- Experience with stress engineering, FEM, Vibration analysis, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance
- Experience using a wide range of hand calculation methods
- Working knowledge of Hypermesh, Nastran and Patran
Qualifications required:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £26,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
