Kraus Hamdani Aerospace (KHA) is an aerospace company specializing in long-endurance unmanned aerial platforms for a wide variety of industries. KHA supports a number of customers to carry out missions involving aerial reconnaissance, survey, communication relay and communications provisioning. Endurance is key to these applications and KHA aircraft utilize cutting-edge aircraft design together with on-board intelligence to deliver value for these customers.


KHA is looking to grow the design and analysis team in central Scotland to support development of two long-endurance aircraft. KHA will consider candidates with a range of experience levels.


The responsibilities of the Aerospace Engineer will include a wide range of design and analysis tasks related to the development of advanced UAV platforms.


  • Working with internal and external customers to define requirements and constraints
  • Trade-space and conceptual level studies for current and future products
  • Down-selecting technologies and conducting design activities
  • Working to select and manage suppliers for various subsystems
  • Supporting integration and testing activities in UK and USA
  • Manage in-service performance and diagnose failures.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK

The successful candidate will have a degree in Aerospace Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience. They will have a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement as well as a flexible approach, the ability to adapt and to contribute within a rapidly growing and dynamic organisation. Experience in any of the following fields is desirable.


  • Aircraft design
  • Systems engineering
  • Aerodynamics and structures
  • Systems testing and commissioning
  • Operating or working on UAVs
  • Support of in-service systems
  • Airworthiness and certification standards
