Job description
- Provides leadership in monitoring and implementing appropriate instructional strategies to mitigate student learning.
- Identify school improvement priorities to develop strategies that builds teachers instructional capacity to deliver high quality instruction.
- Create systems to monitor student progress and learning loss to adjust instruction accordingly through interventions and progress monitoring.
- Works collaboratively with the Instructional Leadership Team, Administrative Content Leaders, and Professional Learning Coaches to identify complex problems.
- Supports the design and facilitation of district and school based professional development as necessary.
- Collaboratively work with Principals and Instructional Leadership Directors to create customized support curriculum focus group sessions for students, teachers, and school leaders needs due to the learning loss.
- Analyzes state and district assessment data to help target professional development needs; designs, plans and implements school and individual-level professional development opportunities addressing instructional content, curriculum, instructional methods, and assessment in the classroom.
- Keeps abreast and communicates instructional best practices with school leadership to provide maximum teacher effectiveness.
- Facilitate data meeting to identify the level of student mastery to support the Instructional Leadership Team and teachers on K-12 curriculum and instructional matters, research-based assessment techniques, and makes recommendations pertaining thereto.
- Maintain accurate records and other documentation as requested by the Assistant Superintendent and Instructional Leadership Director.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
- Possess in-depth knowledge pertinent to the assigned curricular area, state standards, and intervention related supports is essential.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to swiftly and accurately understand complex data and perform analysis
- Skill in developing data-supported solutions and using fact-based logic; ability to translate complex analysis in easy-to-understand manner and present to broad audience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and record-keeping skills
- Mastery of appropriate content-specific, pedagogical knowledge and related research and best practices
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to identify needs and plan and implement strategies for improvement aligned to individual school needs and priorities
- Excellent human relations skills and ability to establish and maintain successful cooperative working relationships.
