Prison Relief Library and Information Advisor
Suffolk Libraries is an independent and charitable society which runs Suffolk’s public library service and prison libraries in several counties.

We are looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to join our team at as a Relief Library and Information Advisor covering HMP Ranby and HMP Whatton. We are interested in someone who:
- Has an aspiration to deliver great customer service
- Can demonstrate appropriate and effective communication skills with the aim of building positive and supportive relations with our customers, team and community
- Is IT literate and competent in the use of: the internet, email, mobile devices and applications and who could also offer guidance to customers
- Has the ability to work as an effective team member
- Understands Suffolk Libraries services and what it delivers
- Has sufficient emotional resilience to work in what can be a challenging but highly rewarding environment
If you have experience in a customer facing role, enjoy helping people, have a willingness to work within a team in a busy environment and an interest in books and computers, we would like to hear from you.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo Prison security vetting checks before any appointment can be confirmed.
