ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONER/TRAINEE ADVANCED NURSE PRACTIONER/SENIOR ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONER
VARIOUS HOURS AVAILABLE
Newburn deliver clinical care to circa 30,000 patients with a population demographic covering Aberdeen city centre, Northfield and a significant population of Aberdeen University students at our Old Aberdeen site. This allows for an interesting and varied clinical workload.
We are an innovative practice; passionate about supporting our staff to develop and progress with their careers and be the best they can be. We are also passionate about trying new approaches to deliver Primary Care and have a diverse consulting team comprising GPs, ANPs, NPs and a Pharmacy Team. We are also a teaching and GP training Practice with FY2s and GPSTs regularly rotating through the Practice.
We are looking for ANP’S to work closely with the wider practice team, providing care to our patients appropriate to their clinical skill set, with the management of home visits part of the role. Our current ANP team have all developed special interests in primary care, in areas including palliative care and minor surgery.
The successful ANP candidates will have current first level registration with relevant body and must be qualified and experienced independent prescribers. All Clinicians must have experience and qualifications in advanced clinical examination skills, history taking, pathophysiology and be able to evidence autonomous working at Master’s level, however, this may be negotiable for trainee positions.
Applicants should be proactive, effective communicators, be adaptable to change and possess drive and ambition to progress their career with willingness to work at the top of their licence. Previous experience of autonomous working in and or out of hours is essential and ideally within a Primary Care Setting.
Key Requirements and Job Details:
Salary dependant on experience.
- Significant clinical experience and confidence in managing day-to-day primary care work autonomously
- Aptitude or current skill in clinical leadership
- Skill in remote consultation- telephone consultation/triage/eConsults and video consults
- Strong communication skills
- Aptitude or current skill in supervising junior clinical staff members
- Contributing to the development of effective clinical demand and workload management systems
- Experience in creating and maintaining appropriate clinical governance processes.
