The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Serious Violence Worker to join our team. As a Serious Violence Worker, you will be responsible for supporting individuals who are at risk of, or have been affected by, serious violence.

Responsibilities

  • Work with individuals who have been affected by serious violence, providing emotional and practical support.
  • Develop and deliver trauma informed interventions aimed at reducing the risk of serious violence.
  • Conduct assessments and risk management plans for individuals.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure a coordinated response to serious violence.
  • Support individuals in accessing relevant services, such as housing, mental health, education, and employment.
  • Provide training to professionals on serious violence and related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all work undertaken.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably working with young people and/or vulnerable adults.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the causes and impact of serious violence.
  • Experience in conducting assessments and developing risk management plans.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • A commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds.
