Job description
The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the UK's longest-established specialist providers of legal education. With an alumni network in excess of 71,000, we’ve trained more practising lawyers in the UK than anyone else
As our student numbers increase and we continue to diversify our programmes and portfolio, we are looking for a high-calibre Admissions Operations Officer to join our Admissions team, to instil continued confidence in the admissions department and support the students in our university community.
On top of a competitive salary of £29,330, we provide a generous annual leave entitlement of 30 days plus bank holidays, and there’s a rewards package that includes:
- Private Medical Scheme and Life Assurance
- Contributory Pension Scheme
- Training and Qualifications (including Course Sponsorship/Fee Discount)
- Season Ticket Loans and Student Discounts
As an Admissions Operations Officer, you will be:
- Supporting the operational efficiency of the Admissions Department, ensuring maintenance of core admissions background data and that systems and data feeds are effectively working day to day.
- Working closely with stakeholders across the University to contribute to the improvement of admissions systems and processes, through thinking creatively and collating Departmental feedback from Admissions staff within the allocated development window.
- Instilling confidence in the admissions service both internally and externally through supporting the implementation and ongoing maintenance of systems affecting the Admissions processes, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Location and admissions working model:
The Admissions Department has successfully implemented a working model incorporating home working, dual location (homeworking and campus based) and campus-based staff. The role can therefore be home based, on campus or a mix (dual location).
Our ‘Hub Day’ concept requires the teams within the department to attend specific days on campus (at London Moorgate and Guildford) no more than twice per month. These days focus on specific work-related themes identified by the management team in collaboration with team members. This enables the teams to engage face to face with colleagues and ensures a supportive and collegiate working environment for our staff.
