Job Summary

Responsible for managing and coordinating all admissions and registration enrollment on all platforms utilized by the district.

Essential Functions

Manage and coordinate customer service functions performed by El Paso Community College's (EPCC's) Admissions and Registration Office.

Ensure that all staff, including off-campus personnel, are trained, aware, and compliant with the different complex regulations governing admission to the college, residency determination, Ability to Benefit eligibility, and official document regulations.

Provide instruction and direction on new or existing policies and procedures changes.

Manage and coordinate staff work assignments and day-to-day operations within the department, including monitoring and providing input regarding the department's budget.

Manage and conduct assessment and evaluation of the effectiveness of enrollment services.

Provide staff with schedules, training, information, and reports to establish deadlines for completing assigned duties.

Collaborate with the data management team to create, edit, and extract data from the student information system and for support on third-party software used to produce reports, audits, lists, databases, etc.

Serve as a resource to other division staff members, college departments, and the community. Coordinate and communicate with internal and external entities to troubleshoot and work with complex problems identified by students, staff, audits, and outside institutions and provide recommended resolutions.

Manage all activities through policies and procedures consistent with rules and regulations established by federal and state agencies.

Monitor programs regulatory changes that affect admissions and registration for a student's ability to enroll, pay tuition (i.e., residency determination, graduation requirement changes at the high school level, dual credit updates, etc.), the federal and state legislative changes, and supported state and national groups such as American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO), etc., and keep staff up-to-date and in compliance.

Provide staff personnel management direction and guidance, including orientation, performance evaluation, coaching, and professional development. Provide staff the opportunity to attend staff development, training, and workshops. Provide training on new software and program applications.

Provide assistance and leadership to the Dual Credit & Early College High School (DC/ECSH) staff. Serve as a liaison between EPCC and Region 19 designated K-12 schools, and ensure procedural consistency among the organizations so they meet industry and government regulations.

Develop and coordinate correspondence for the Admissions and Registration Office, including DC/ECHS and any other population EPCC serves.

Recommend and implement changes to ensure compliance.

Organize and direct military correspondence, and work closely with partner areas, including information systems for Fort Bliss, ArmyIgnite, My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA), Veterans Affairs (VA), etc.

Assist with developing presentations and training staff with implementing and maintaining all third-party software used in the Admissions and Registration offices, such as Websites, Cisco Finesse, and the Learning Management System (LMS).

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

NOTE: A copy of the transcript reflecting this required education MUST be submitted for consideration and reflect completed coursework and degrees conferred. The candidate must be fully qualified for the position at the time of application.

2. Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal requirements pertaining to enrollment management operations.

3. Knowledge of enrollment management operations, principles, and practices and procedures.

4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Experience managing, supervising, and leading personnel.

6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, managers, directors, administrators, and the public.

7. Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

8. Effective planning, organizing, and multi-tasking skills, and ability to effectively meet deadlines.

9. Experience developing, executing, and managing budgets.

10. Experience developing and conducting presentations.

Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation (word for word) by a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Additionally, each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited coursework.

Applications containing foreign transcripts that are not accompanied with the above required documentation will not be considered.

Out-of-town candidates invited for an on-campus interview will be reimbursed for one-half of the transportation cost for travel performed within the United States. The College will arrange and pay for up to two nights lodging.
