Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time* Administrative Assistant based in our Head Office in Carlisle, supporting Regional and Head Office staff. Euroforest is the largest independent timber harvesting & marketing company in the UK. We harvest and market in excess of 2.7 million m³ of timber per annum.
The Position
We are looking for an individual who shares our energy and passion and will help to contribute to our ongoing success. The Administrative Assistant role provides an opportunity to develop responsibilities over time and work on ad hoc projects as they become available.
*Part time hours may be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally dealing with client queries to the department and taking messages as appropriate.
- Scanning of all delivery notes and ensuring records are kept up to date.
- Updating Excel spreadsheets and producing reports.
- Assist with the filing of papers and contract documentation, photocopying and distribution of papers where necessary.
- Despatch and record distribution of delivery books.
- Meet and greet visitors to the office.
- Assist with the preparation and tidying of meeting rooms, including organising catering.
- Managing incoming / outgoing mail.
- Supporting the Office Administrator with administrative tasks on a day-to-day basis.
Skills and experience
- Good attention to detail
- Organisational skills, ability to manage multiple projects and varying deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative with strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
