About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator/Healthcare Assistant to assist in our Norfolk and Nowrick University Hospital PET-CT unit.
We are seeking self-motivated individuals who can quickly grasp the general duties in a busy centre. You should have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise your workload, ensuring a high standard of patient care at all times. It is essential that you have strong IT skills and ideally you will have prior administrative experience, particularly in a healthcare setting.
The role also involves interviewing and booking patients by phone. We seek a self-motivated individual who can quickly grasp the general duties in this busy department.
The site currently operated 6 days a week to provide PET-CT services to the region so you should be comfortable working some weekends.

Required Skills and Experience
As a successful candidate you must:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including by phone) together with a good standard of IT literacy.
- Clinical skills are not essential although previous experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills are essential in order to prioritise your workload to ensure a high standard of patient care at all times.
- Work within site protocols and procedures to ensure the delivery of a quality service
- Ensure sound knowledge of site RIS systems
- Work in an efficient and effective manner to maximise throughput
- Escalate to the Clinical Lead/Regional Senior any identified clinical issues requiring further management input
- Ensure full compliance with all current AML Policies, Procedures and extant legislation
- Actively participate in departmental audits
- Be reflective in thinking and outlook and be able to source advice, coping with multiple demands during the working day
