Are you an experienced administrator who thrives in dynamic, changing environment? If so, this role allows you to work in a supportive, friendly organisation whilst learning great new skills.

As a first point of contact for most students, you will be an integral part of our Student Services team of administrators who support our students from their very first interactions with the College through to their time studying here, and ultimately to when they graduate from the University.

Whilst experience of Collegiate Cambridge is advantageous, what we really need is someone with drive & passion whose customer service is exceptional.

Job responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate records and responding to enquiries in a timely way.
  • To be the first point of contact for the department (on a rota basis) directing enquiries to the appropriate resources or individuals concerned.
  • To produce communication materials. Communicate to all stakeholders as necessary in a timely and clear way.
  • Support the team and as necessary the wider College with diary and correspondence management.
  • Make travel, meeting, and hospitality arrangements, as necessary.
  • Support the wider College by collaborating with all departments to ensure the smooth running of the College
  • To support the department’s delivery of its key activities throughout the year including support for the admissions cycles, onboarding of new students, beginning of year activities, examinations and graduations, and support for College Tutors, Directors of Studies and others involved in their education and welfare.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety is of upmost importance and policies are adhered to.
  • Look for ways to improve current policies and procedures and suggests ideas as appropriate.

What we need

The successful candidate will be a driven, self-starter, who can work independently using their own initiative. They will understand the importance of confidentiality and will be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels in an empathetic manner.

An ability to prioritise is a must for this role, as you will have conflicting priorities which you will need to overcome. The role will require someone who embraces change and seeks opportunity for continuous improvement.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literate, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Experience working in a customer facing environment
