Job description
The successful applicant will work within the Pennine Care NHS Tameside and Glossop Talking Therapies service based in Ashton-u-Lyne. This is within close proximity to Manchester City Centre with excellent road, rail and tram links.
You will be offering Admin support to the team, for example, processing self and professional referrals, engaging with patient queries by phone and in person, updating patient records and covering reception duties on a rota basis.
You will liaise with practitioners within the service in addition to other mental health professionals and carers.

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Admin Team at NHS Tameside and Glossop Talking Therapies. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and IT skills, a desire to provide high quality patient care along with the ability to remain calm and focused in a fast paced environment.
You will be based within the centre of Ashton-u-Lyne at Pennine Care Trust HQ, working Monday to Friday from 9am – 5pm.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
To provide an appropriate and courteous response to all enquiries, taking clear messages as necessary and making telephone calls as directed.
Obtain thorough and accurate information when taking telephone calls/referrals ensuring appropriate information is passed to relevant duty staff.
Ensure priority referrals are processed within a timely manner adhering to service policy and procedures at all times.
Ensure accurate recording and updating of data systems, both manual and
computerised and respond to requests for reports from such systems.
Operate a range of database systems i.e. Pcmis and Paris and liaise with clinicians to update patient information.
To support with appointment and discharge letters.
Take minutes of meetings as directed by the office manager.
Undertake filing duties including archiving and tracking files and ensure files and relevant documentation concerning patients are made available to clinicians on request.
Ensure adequate supplies of stationary.
Provide a photocopying service.
Process incoming and outgoing mail and distribute accordingly.
Work with client group in a non-judgemental and confidential manner.
Participate in monthly admin meetings.
Work effectively both in a team situation and on one’s own initiative.
Work effectively under very demanding and sometimes stressful situations.
Provide cover for absent colleagues as appropriate including cover within the Healthy Minds team.
Have an awareness of and adhere to all policies and procedures relating to this service.
Prioritise own workload ensuring duties are carried out to a high standard.
Take responsibility for own health and safety and the health and safety of others
ensuring any potential risk is reported immediately to the relevant departments.
Take responsibility for own personal development, keeping up to date with
organisational / service changes and mandatory training.
