Care Home Administrator

37.5 contract/ Monday - Friday 9-5pm
Karenza are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and approachable Care Home Administrator to join their friendly team. As Administrator your role will be to act as a first point of contract for the care home, welcoming visitors and playing a vital role in ensuring a smooth operation within the home. The right candidate will have good people skills to engage with the residents, staff and external professionals and agencies, a good knowledge of Microsoft office.

Administrator Main Duties:
- Be the first point of contact, you will help to ensure a positive first impression is created with all visitors to the Home
- Applying for references and DBS checks
- In collaboration with the Home Manager, ensure the appropriate induction of new employees and a record of such is kept on their personnel file.
- Develop and maintain a supervision, appraisal and training matrix
- Provide payroll with contract amendments, fitness to work certificates, self-certifications etc
- Record and monitor annual leave; informing team members of their remaining entitlement
- Attend disciplinary, capability and grievance hearings as note-taker as required
- Responsible on a day to day basis for the safekeeping and accounting of all residents
- Responsible for maintaining, distributing and ordering stationery and supplies for the Home

- Polite, friendly approachable manner
- Ability to input data accurately; good eye for detail
- Good time management
- Knowledge on Excel; able to provide reports via spreadsheet
