Position: Freelance QA Tester
Duration: 6 weeks
Start Date: Immediate
Hours per week: 37.5
Location: Hybrid working (at least three days office-based in Brighton)
Over 68,500 teachers use Charanga’s online music platform to help them teach music – our award-winning Musical School programme being the curriculum of choice for 70% of primary schools in England. Building on its success, 2.5m students in 64 countries enjoy a Charanga-supported music lesson every week. We are currently looking for a freelance QA Tester to conduct manual testing on a range of web-based applications and platforms.
As the ideal candidate, you should have a minimum of 3-4 years of software testing experience and be able to hit the ground running. You will be responsible for cross-browser and cross-device testing of existing digital resources, ongoing testing of existing digital platforms, and bug ticket entry via Monday.com, among other things.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing of existing digital resources
- Perform ongoing testing of existing digital platforms
- Enter bug tickets via Monday.com and complete test runs
- Create, update, and maintain test cases
- Complete test exit reports
- Be the point of truth for QA knowledge and ownership and championing of QA process on individual projects
- Collaborate with Developers and the Project Manager to ensure quality and participate in all aspects of the Software Testing lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of Software Testing experience within a software development environment
- Familiarity with testing across a suite of mobile devices and using virtual testing for cross-platform coverage
Nice to have
- Experience with monitoring CI and test runners
- Musical background and/or an understanding of music theory
- Fluent in Welsh, Czech or Danish
