Job Title: Faculty Administrator
Location: Cambridge Campus
Start Date: ASAP
Proposed End Date: 31st March 2023 (possible extension to June)
Rate of pay: £12.29ph
Hours: 37hrs per week - 8:30am to 5pm (4.30pm Friday)
Duties:
Provide effective administrative support for our undergraduate and postgraduate students in the School.
Provide support to the School Administration Coordinator in the delivery of the student attendance initiatives, ensuring accurate records/data are maintained and available when necessary.
Coordinate School assessment resources, liaising with our external examiners and School Administration Coordinator in a timely and effective manner.
Provide support for the delivery of the School Module Assessment Panels (MAPs), ensuring all documentation is provided on time and all meeting arrangements are effectively managed.
Working with the School Administration Coordinator, to effectively delivery the module evaluation surveys, ensuring deadlines are met.
Provide administrative support for the School Student/Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs) and other appropriate formal (i.e. institutional governance related) School focused meetings.
Allocate students (tutees) to staff, ensuring equitable numbers of tutees for staff and ensuring all tutees have a personal development tutor, in accordance with the Faculty/ARU policy on Personal Development Tutoring.
Ensure that our student’s records are kept up to date and accurate, ensuring all relevant updates and amendments are made in a timely manner.
Provide a professional and customer focused service at our Faculty reception desk during advertised opening hours, ensuring student queries are addressed effectively, either directly or indirectly.
Deal with non-routine enquiries in an efficient and effective manner, whether face to face, by telephone or written correspondence or by referring to the School Administration Coordinator where appropriate.
Proactively contribute to achieving and maintaining high levels of customer service and deliver a positive student experience at all times through effective problem solving and the utilisation of administration and systems expertise.
Actively participate in the delivery of the wider student success team processes/procedures/responsibilities and contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes to support business effectiveness.
Be fully conversant with our student administrative database (ASTRA)and learning and teaching platform (Canvas), inputting and retrieving information to serve required business needs (following appropriate and continued training).
Requirements:
- Previous administration experience
- Previous customer service experience
- Canvas and E-Vision knowledge
- Experience dealing with complex customer related enquiries
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- IT literate
