Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to work alongside our Outpatient Co-ordinator and Supervisor in supporting the outpatient clerical team, ward clerks and OPAT clerical officers in the Department of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine.
The post holder will work closely with the Outpatient Co-ordinator to provide support for rota co-ordination to ensure that there is adequate reception/clerical support to cover reception areas in ID and OPAT and inpatient ward areas and ensure that clinic appointment slots are utilised and scheduled effectively and other clerical tasks are allocated and completed to the reception team.
The Department of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine is an active unit, located on E-floor of the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and with out-patient facilities adjacent to the ward area. The Department provides a seven-day a week demand led sub-regional specialty service, which is ‘on take’ for admissions every day of the year.
- General office duties i.e. photocopying and post etc.
- Ordering supplies of patient information and resources or stationery supplies
- Coordinate patient information ensuring is accessible available and up to date
- Make, cancel and change appointments for patients using Trust systems
- Data input
- Processing patient referrals with outpatient team
- Clinic reception and ward clerk duties as appropriate
- Clinic utilisation and appointment slot Management
- Electronic Referral System management
