Job description
We are looking for somebody with suitable experience to join the Faculty of Social Sciences as an Administrative Officer in our Curriculum & Quality Assurance (CQA) Team. The CQA Team provides high level guidance and supports all regulatory aspects of the Taught and Research programmes associated with our five Schools.
What you will do
You will work closely with the Senior Administrative Officers within CQA, key academic staff and colleagues across professional services. This specialist administration team supports the Faculty in the preparation for approval and review of new and existing undergraduate and postgraduate taught curricula, Postgraduate Research programme development, student communications and representation, statutory and regulatory body monitoring, committee servicing and implementation of academic regulations and processes.
Major elements of the post will be to support the Senior Administrative Officers to deliver an effective and efficient service to beneficiaries and stakeholders, applying a detailed knowledge of systems and processes and regulatory frameworks. To establish and maintain effective working relationships with academic staff within the Faculty and other colleagues in Professional Services.
About you – you will
- be an excellent team player with experience and a proven ability to work proactively;
- be well organised and adaptable, taking a positive approach in reviewing processes and practices;
- possess excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service is also required;
- have experience of processing and analysing complex data sets using multiple systems;
- be a competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
