We have an exciting opportunity in the Department for Lifelong Learning (DLL) for someone with a passion for administration looking to use their skills in supporting students/clients from a range of backgrounds to make an impact on the experience of mature students.
This is a key role within the department, providing administrative support to DLL’s learning and teaching, outreach, admissions and support activities and events. You will also provide vital support for the Professional Services functions of the department, including aspects of recruitment, finance and health and safety.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will demonstrate excellent administrative and team working skills in support of DLL’s diverse student body. 88% of our student cohort are mature students, 52% are local students, 42% are from low participation neighbourhoods and/or areas of high deprivation, and approximately 43% declare a disability.
This role will offer you an excellent opportunity to use and develop your skills in Higher Education Administration in a multifaceted role within a constantly evolving environment. We are seeking someone with excellent communication and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently, knowing when to seek the support of senior colleagues.
You will be a crucial member of the team and will need a real dedication to the role, be willing to assist others, accept responsibility for areas of work, learn new skills and systems, and have the ability to work on your own initiative with excellent attention to detail.
