About The Service
Glamorgan Archives is the key body in the preservation of the written history of a large and populous region of South Wales. It provides a joint service to the City and County of Cardiff, the County Borough Councils of Bridgend, Caerphilly (for the former Rhymney Valley District Council area), Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf and the Vale of Glamorgan from its purpose-built accommodation in Leckwith.
About the job
The post-holder’s main role will be to assist in the financial management of the service, including invoicing and payments. The post-holder will also assist with on-site events, manage room hire including arranging catering, and arrange and oversee maintenance contractors.
What We Are Looking For From You
All staff contribute to public access and a knowledge of local heritage will be advantageous. The job will involve a degree of physical activity, such as stocktaking. A current full driving licence is desirable.
