The School of Communication is at the heart of an accelerating vortex of global change, where seismic shifts in our experience and understanding of media, communications, society, industry and each other are going through unprecedented transformation.
We are looking for an outstanding Administrative Assistant to:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for the delivery, coordination, records management and administration of School of Communication’s academic programmes
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for the School’s events, community and outreach activities
- Support the General Manager and wider team
- Make a valuable contribution to delivering excellent experiences for staff and students, through the provision of high quality information and support services
The ideal candidate will be educated to A-level or have equivalent experience. In addition, it is essential that candidates have:
- Administrative experience of working in a busy customer-focused environment with demonstrable ability to deal with a variety of student and education-related issues with tact and sensitivity
- Ability to manage and prioritise a heavy workload whilst retaining excellent customer service standards, high level of accuracy and attention to detail (demonstrating excellent organisational and time management skills)
- Experience of servicing meetings (e.g preparing meeting papers and taking accurate notes/minutes)
- Ability to use initiative, multi-task and work as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate well and with confidence to a wide range of people both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in the use of productivity suites such as Google for work, Microsoft Office and the internet (i.e. email, calendar, documents, spreadsheets, databases)
- Experience delivering small to large-scale events
- Experience of using Mailchimp (or similar), creating copy for and competence in posting to social media platforms
This is a full time and permanent role working predominately at White City with a hybrid approach to working of 60% office / 40% home working.
