Brief Description of the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a team supporting the work of Orthoptists (Allied Health Professionals) gaining experience in a busy Ophthalmic Dept. We require a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team of 15 orthoptists and 1 administrative assistant.
The post holder will be required to provide comprehensive administrative support to the orthoptic team which provide primary school vision screening, low vision clinics, paediatric and adult orthoptic clinics and stroke ward visits.
Regular Clinical Governance/audit sessions are held and active participation is encouraged by all staff. We also support the mentoring process for any new staff. We are a progressive department keen to support and develop our staff.
