Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Gastroenterology

Salary: £22,383 per annum/pro rata
Interview Date: 13th September
Contract: 15hrs per week across 2 days
We are recruiting for aAdministrative Assistant - Gastroenterology who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
The post holder will work as part of the Administrative & Clerical Team to support the co-ordinators in providing a Typing and Clerical Service to the clinical teams.
The post holder will be involved in the facilitating service improvement to streamline the patient pathway and improve the quality of patient care.
The role will involve working with a range of staff across the entire organisation, but in particular in the Gastroenterology Department.

Ensure results/health records are available for clinics
Ensure turnaround of referrals received in post
To be responsible for pulling case notes for clinic, admissions and audit and request lists and following requests by telephone, tracking records to the appropriate location
To be the first point of contact for missing notes, on the day or the day prior to a patient’s attendance
Use case note tracking efficiently within the Department
To provide cover during times of colleagues absence on annual or sick leave
Ensure case notes within the Department are available for clinics/ other departments across the
Trust as required, emptying cupboards in Clinic Area and tracking and delivering notes to transit or wherever requested
File results appropriately in patient notes, in accordance with the Department procedures
Open and distribute the post internally within the Department
Uploading Dictaphones to computers and labelling of clinics correctly to enable clinics to be typed
