Who and where are Cranborne Chase AONB?
Cranborne Chase is an area of central southern England, straddling the counties Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire.
We’re based on the Cranborne Chase near Tollard Royal and our primary purpose at the AONB designation is to conserve and enhance the natural beauty of the area, now and for future generations.
The team has a multitude of work underway focussing on nature recovery, our International Dark Sky Reserve, working with farmers, responsible tourism, walking, cycling, historic heritage, and engaging communities near and far in a variety of exciting, hands-on projects.

We are looking for a conscientious, flexible and highly organised person to join our small, friendly team based just outside Hungerford in Berkshire, in the heart of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a protected national landscape.

About the role
You will provide governance and finance support to the AONB Partnership. You will also provide a range of support to the AONB Team; manage and report on day-to-day budgets and financial systems; be the first point of contact for the public with the AONB, including responding to inquiries; organise and manage AONB events such as our Annual Forum; ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the AONB office; provide support for communications, e.g. helping to keeping the AONB website up to date; and take responsibility for specific projects or other work as required.
About you
You will be extremely well organised, able to keep a focus on multiple tasks at any one time and confident with governance, budgets and administration.
You will be able to work both as part of a small team and in partnership with a wide range of individuals and organisations. Bringing a professional approach to your work you will have the ability to remain calm and diplomatic in the face of unexpected challenges.
