Employee will be assigned to the Division of Water and Waste Management, Office of Environmental Enforcement. Under general supervision of the Regional Environmental Inspector Supervisor, employee will perform a wide variety of tasks to provide efficient office operation. Due to the amount of time the Supervisor spends on field duties, employee must be able to learn Environmental Enforcement (EE) function in detail, work well independently, exercise good judgment, and communicate agency rules and regulations to wide variety of individuals. Other duties include, but are not limited to word processing and typing general correspondence, forms, memoranda, and technical reports from verbal or written instructions for EE and other agency personnel. Will be responsible for maintaining electronic files and retrieving report information from these files. Receives and screens telephone calls and refers callers to appropriate staff member or agency. Answers inquiries from government agencies, general public and regulated community concerning the enforcement policies, rules, statutes, etc. Employee will accurately record spill/complaints and relay to proper personnel. Compiles records of inspections and other enforcement activities. Compose routine correspondence for Supervisor's signature. Additional duties include preparation and initial processing of travel requests, expense accounts, requisition of office supplies, and reconcile purchasing card transactions. Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail. Schedules meetings and makes reservations for staff. Manages, maintains, and utilizes a vital filing system for facility permits, inspections, correspondence, etc. Employee will perform other related duties and required.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing routine office work.
Substitution: College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
