About our charity:
Vision Support Harrogate District exists to support those in our community who have sight loss and their families. Our small staff team provides a range of emotional and practical support services and along with our large volunteer team we encourage independent living and provide a safe space for members to participate in a range of social, craft and wellbeing activities.
Overall Role:
To facilitate the smooth day to day service operations of Vision Support Harrogate District, including supporting the planning of activities and events. You will be based on Reception at the Vision Support Centre.
Duties include:
- To deal with enquiries received via email, telephone and in person in an efficient, polite and sensitive manner.
- To support the Director of Services in the organising of events and activities, including producing & distributing literature and booking venues.
- To ensure service and membership data is recorded and maintained accurately and in line with data protection policies and procedures.
- Liaise with colleagues and agencies as required to help support the teams objectives and targets.
- Support the promotion of services, activities and events through social media, website, promotional materials and local media.
- Undertake general reception duties including ordering and payment of resources for members, shredding and scanning of confidential information.
- Comply with all organisational policies and procedures including Health & Safety and Safeguarding adults.
- Undertake appropriate training and development opportunities to fulfil the role to its full potential.
- Undertake any other tasks that support the smooth operations of Vision Support Harrogate District.
Skills required:
· Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
· Multitasking and prioritising
· Friendly and dependable
Work Schedule:
Tuesday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm, 1/2 hour lunch break.
