What will you be doing?

As Senior Administrator, you will:

  • Deliver high quality advice, and support services to a diverse community of students and staff.
  • Identify solutions to queries and suggest improvements to processes.
  • You may be required to supervise the work of others including providing guidance and support.

You would work in a role in one of the following teams:

Programmes, Timetabling and Curriculum – Curriculum Approvals and Advisory Team (CAAT)

Supporting and advising colleagues across all schools and faculties as they develop new programmes of study. Dealing with a broad range of queries daily that can include complex issues and involve other professional service departments such as visas and immigration, fees and funding or admissions and usually relate to new programmes and the processes around new programme approval and the review and updating of programmes.

Customer Service – Customer Experience and Events Team

This is a dedicated team with a focus on providing students with the best possible experience. Our key focus is the successful planning and delivering of the University’s graduation ceremonies. Supporting in our key administrative functions and enquiry management within the team, dealing with a broad range of enquiries daily, via CRM, live chat, phone and email.

Placements, Mobility, Partners and Visas - Global Opportunities Team (Study Abroad)

The Global Opportunities Team manages outbound and inbound study abroad opportunities through our extensive network of global partnerships. The team is dedicated to offering transformative and life-enriching international experiences to both University of Nottingham students and international students from our partner universities. Supporting students, academic colleagues and international partners is our key focus and day-to-day activities are varied and wide-ranging including responding to student queries, pastoral care, marketing, events, delivering information sessions and partner liaison.

Placements, Mobility, Partners and Visas – Global Opportunities Team (UK Placements)

This role supports the delivery of UK placement opportunities for Faculty of Arts students. The key focus of this post is to assist with providing degree-enhancing industry placements to undergraduate students to boost their employability and develop transferable skills. Day-to-day activities involve dealing with student queries, developing administrative processes and liaising with industry partners.

Work patterns may fall between 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. Most of our vacancies are permanent, full-time posts (36.25 hours per week); however, applications from candidates wishing to work less than full time (to a minimum of 21.75 hours per week) will be considered. Our current policy is that 60% of working hours are carried out from Campus.

Starting salary will normally be at the first point of the salary scale unless a candidate has significant relevant, HE skills/experience.

Interviews will be held on 5 September 2023 and as part of the interview process, you will undertake a short skills assessment. Interview expenses will not be paid.
