About the role
Acting as the first point of contact in the provision of a confidential, professional support service within the School of Digital, Technologies and Arts. To support departments within the School, providing administrative and secretarial support for day-to-day activities which would include, invoicing, arranging educational visits, processing pay claims, coordinating temporary staff to include on-boarding and right to work checks.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide effective and efficient administrative support within the School ensuring deadlines are adhered to in line with the academic calendar.
- To support the organisation of meetings, seminars, conferences or other School related events.
- To coordinate Educational Visits, which would include UK and overseas, contact suppliers for quotes, organise accommodation, ensure all mandatory paperwork such as risk assessments and contact details are completed. Set up payment pages and liaise with trip leaders.
- To process orders, invoices and ad hoc payments for the departments, ensuring that all purchase orders are raised in line with the Universities policy.
- Provide secretarial support for meetings as required, which will include minute taking, circulating agendas and associated papers for future meetings and progress/chase outstanding actions.
