Job description

The hours are Mon - Saturday 0600 - 1400

· Collect daily POD’s from drivers, organise and file, by route and date and removing to storage.

· Collect Daily Drivers defect logs: Log defects on spreadsheet and action as required ensuring follow up and advise were necessary.

· Collect and check weekly temperature checks.

· Carry out weekly cleaning checks, inside, outside and the cab.

· Carry out weekly vehicle damage checks as per the schedule. Report and action as required.

· Carry out Random uniform inspections and report as requested.

· Carry out Random checks on loading procedures and report as requested.

· Issue and keep stock of all drivers’ sundries. Ensuring everything is documented correctly.

· Reply professionally to and internal and external emails.

· Carry out random pre departure loads as discussed on identified vehicles.

· Check weekly overtime requests against the tracking system and verify requests reporting anomalies.

· Communicate professionally at all times, report and liaise with senior management.

· Formulate customer route sheets with drivers, making a note of Parking, alarms, keys and access requirements for each site and noting the specific route order. Identifying VIP Deliveries.

· Ensure information passed to drivers and managers is accurate, truthful and presented well in both verbal and written communications.

· You will also need to familiarise yourself with the transport practices and procedures and the company handbook.

· The most important part of the job is being professional in your approach, working with senior management. Communicating the correct information. Documenting and dealing with staff in a truthful manner.

· This role will develop over time and you will be assisting in the process of change.

· The company operates a clear desk policy so you will need to be well organised and prioritise your efforts on a daily basis keeping a record of actions.

· The senior management may request you to perform any other duties as reasonably requested. This may include providing refreshments to guests and visitors and taking confidential notes.

Assisting with day to day admin tasks across other departments as requested.

Salary: £26,100.00-£29,300.00 per year
