Job description
We are looking for a friendly, proactive individual to join our Radiology Team as Clerical Officer. This role involves working on a variety of busy reception desks within the Radiology Department at Salisbury District Hospital, as well as being an integral part of the Radiology Admin Team.
We are looking for someone who can provide a great service with a welcoming smile, have excellent communication skills and show empathy and consideration to others. At the heart of what you do will be to ensure our patients receive an exceptional experience before, during and after their Radiology appointment.
You will also cover other duties associated with this role, such as, ensuring patients are correctly registered, adding referrals accurately and in a timely manner and allocate patient appointments.
You will be expected to be a proactive member of the Radiology Admin Team, providing other administrative support and promoting team working, to achieve high standards of patients care and customer service.
Greeting patients and their relatives/carers at various Radiology Reception desks across the hospital, making them feel welcome while using the Computerised Radiology Information System (CRIS) and patient record system (Lorenzo) to attend them to their appointments.
To perform general office/administrative duties such as sorting post, putting referrals onto CRIS, updating patient information on Lorenzo, sorting patient notes, and other tasks as directed by the Admin Team Leader or Admin Manager.
To be a proactive member of the Admin Team, promoting team working to achieve high standards of patient care and customer service and best-practice communication with Outpatient Departments, the Emergency Department, wards and other clinical/non-clinical staff from other areas of the hospital.

To receive, assist and direct patients to the appropriate modality for their examination, whilst being professional and empathetic.
To perform general office duties such as filing, emails, non-complex bookings and dealing with daily enquiries etc.
