We are in search of a team player who is eager to work with the back office of a busy real estate brokerage.
This position would be a great entry-level opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in Accounting or Administration.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable;
- Processing payments internally and externally;
- Weekly invoice processing, cheque runs, and purchase orders;
- Data Entry & Research;
- Administrative Support;
- Cash flow planning including balancing payroll, A/P, and other cash-flow commitments of the company;
- Maintenance of records and filings of documents and query handling of all account-related issues and troubleshooting;
- Inputting deals into Broker Wolf accounting system;
- Processing resale and pre-construction deals;
- Invoicing co-operating brokerages for commission;
- Following up with salespersons for missing documents;
- Responding incoming emails in a timely manner;
- Occasional back up for front desk (while breaks and vacation);
- Preparing and sending commission invoices;
- Processing commission cheques;
- Uploading documents into paperless system;
- Corresponding with real estate agents, brokerages, and lawyers;
- Other duties as assigned.
To be qualified in this role, a background in Accounting would be an asset:
- Prefer 1-year experience working in general accounting and/or financial reporting or administrative office related experience;
- Degree or Diploma in accounting, administration, or business preferred;
- Team Player who with effective time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines;
- Attentive to details, well organized, and a multi-tasker;
- Knowledgeable and/or willing to learn Microsoft Office, Excel, Broker Wolf, and other software;
- Diligent, accurate and scrupulous;
- Flexible with tasks and follow instructions;
- Being able to work well, and communicate efficiently with colleagues and management;
- However, we welcome recent graduates if they fit most of the qualities we are looking for.
