GENERAL ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT
PJC IS AN EMPLOYEE-OWNED, MULTI-DISCIPLINARY, INTEGRATED AND COLLABORATIVE CONSULTANCY, OFFERING ECOLOGICAL CONSULTANCY, ARBORICULTURAL CONSULTANCY AND LANDSCAPE DESIGN SERVICES TO BOTH THE PRIVATE AND COMMERCIAL SECTORS.
PJC's busy team of arboricultural, ecological and landscape consultants are fully qualified and highly experienced in their respective disciplines. Our team has a collective 80 years industry experience, are academically qualified and are members of The Arboricultural Association, The Chartered Institute of Chartered Foresters and The Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.
We are seeking a general administration assistant to work in our Kent office, but supporting the entire PJC team. The position is for a fixed 6 month term to cover maternity leave, but has the potential to extend.
Roles and Responsibilities
Dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence via phone and email, responding to queries and taking messages. Managing incoming and outgoing post.
Assisting the team with scheduling and project management, liaising with clients, providing quotes, scheduling surveys with clients, liaising with subcontractors, rota management, checking subcontractor invoices.
Implementing new processes to drive team efficiencies in administrative task and scheduling.
Management of marketing, social media channels and website content including post scheduling, content creation, proofing, engaging with online community,
Maintaining survey equipment ensuring equipment ready to use, ordering consumables, managing repairs and replacements for damaged equipment, ordering new equipment.
Scheduling meetings, taking minutes, arranging team events, managing day to day office supplies, running errands, assisting company directors with ad hoc requests.
Skills, Experience and Education
Proven track record of working in a fast paced administrative role.
Exceptional communication skills and ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues and clients. Strong written and spoken English.
Highly organised with ability to problem solve and work in dynamic environment.
Highly proficient at using Microsoft Office 365.
Experience and understanding of social media.
Full UK driving license, as the occasional use of company vehicles is necessary.

Part-time hours: 24 per week
Salary: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
