Overview:
Under general supervision, assists base management with a broad range of technical/administrative support; provides selective support to coach operators and base staff.
This is a non-exempt position in Salary Grade H: Min $23.82 – Mid $28.06 – Max $32.29 per hour. The starting salary will be within this range based on qualifications.

Responsibilities:

- Collects and compiles information for periodic reports and special projects.
- Maintains and coordinates office paperwork; assists office personnel with various issues, questions, and training.
- Plans and coordinates events for the division, including but not limited to meetings, conferences, and agency seasonal activities.
- Reviews and proofs documents, records, and forms for accuracy, thoroughness, and conformity with applicable rules and regulations.
- Assists Coach Operators with payroll, vacations, bid, and DMV/medical recertification issues.
- Processes financial documents such as requisitions, expense reports, and travel reports. Collects and compiles information for fixed assets and budget.
- Maintains assigned purchasing credit card and processes transactions according to policy. Coordinate the receipt of budgets from each department of the division, verifying the accuracy of budget information. Monitor budget expenditures.
- Maintains and updates skills in personal computer, word processing programs, main frame ACORS, and office procedures.
- Monitors DMV records to assure all coach operators are in compliance with California Highway Patrol certification standards.
- Schedules Coach Operators for Annual Required Training (ART) classes.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma with a minimum of three years clerical experience, preferably in public transportation. Related coursework is desirable.
Knowledge of:
- Agency work rules and regulations.
- Record-keeping techniques. Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment, including telephone etiquette and record-keeping techniques.
- Computer software and spreadsheet applications.
- Verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to:
- Maintain records and prepare reports.
- Plan, prioritize and organize work.
- Work as a part of a team.
- Work confidentially and independently.
- Collect and compile data for inclusion into reports.
