Receptionist and MIS Administrator

Contract Type Permanent / Full Time

Hours per week 37

Salary £20,264

We are looking for a full time Receptionist and MIS Administrator to work all year round. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for parents/visitors to our College and so will need to be friendly and approachable.

We are looking for someone who:

· has a warm and professional manner

· is able to communicate effectively in person, via email and by telephone

· is calm under pressure in a busy environment and be able to multi-task

· is a team member who is happy to be flexible if necessary

· is IT literate with a good working knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Office, in particular Excel

· is qualified to Level 2 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)

· is experienced in administrative activities/tasks

This busy role is varied. Duties will include:

· providing a welcoming reception to visitors, answering telephone and email queries

· providing assistance for those using the College entry security systems

· dealing with payments in person and over the telephone; issuing petty cash

· managing the post and recorded deliveries; ensuring the franking machine always has sufficient postage

· monitoring the attendance line and record messages on REMS; forwarding information as appropriate

· dealing with queries for rooming and produce rooming list when the rooming officer is not available

· supporting the uploading of registers through the quarantine system and the auditing of registers

· supporting the Exams Team during busy exam periods with administrative tasks and invigilation

· inputting applications to the MIS system and action transfers and withdrawals

· monitoring the info@mailbox and action messages as appropriate

· providing assistance to students and visitors with queries, signposting as required
