Established in 1937 we continue to build on our great reputation for excellent advice and first class service to business and personal clients. Many of our clients are in the local community and we provide a service to businesses across many sectors.

We are looking for an experienced self-motivated administration assistant to support us in the further development of the practice to provide excellent customer service, working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch (35 hours per week). Someone who thrives in a busy environment, people focused, supportive and passionate about providing the best service for our clients.

Purpose of role:

To support the practice with the provision of a highly professional, responsive and accurate administration service.

  • Meeting and greeting clients on reception, including providing them with refreshments while they attend our office
  • Answering the telephone, assisting clients where possible and/or transferring them to a member of the team
  • Opening the post daily, dealing with incoming and outgoing mail
  • Arranging appointments for clients with the team
  • General office admin duties as directed.
  • Arranging for collection and return of clients’ records
  • Various other administrative ad hoc tasks as required by the business

· Support with management of internal IT issues, including liaising with the external IT provider where appropriate

Skills:

To fulfil the role effectively you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should take pride in your work, paying close attention to detail and being accurate. In addition to having strong IT skills in all Microsoft Software, have an excellent telephone manner, be pro-active and keen to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £19,000.00-£23,000.00 per year

  • No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ormskirk: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Administrative experience (preferred)

Language:

  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
