This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sr. Administrative Assistant to join GSK’s Business Development (BD) organization. In this role you will work closely with your manager, their direct team as well as in close alignment with the overall Business Development team to include their administrative assistants.
The highest degree of professionalism and discretion is required for this role with a varying set of responsibilities. The successful candidate will have a proven record of agility and embody a team approach focused on the unit’s success. The successful candidate must also be a critical and strategic thinker with strong organisational, interpersonal, and influencing skills.

Management of complex calendars and detailed international travel arrangements.- Ability to support relevant team in prioritizing work to maintain business pace and anticipate business needs.
- Work closely with internal and external global teams to meet critical business activities, meetings, and interactions.
- Act as BD site presence to assist and support site-based BD departmental engagement activities as needed including support for hosting site visitors, supporting new hire onboarding, and supporting site based meeting needs for key internal/external or departmental meetings.
- Support interaction with high level of sensitivity including confidential interactions with internal and external stakeholders and ability to convey key information confidently and concisely in written communications with senior executives.
- Serve as a close liaison with EAs, GSK leaders, and all BD members.
- Manage incoming mail to determine the level of priority and action accordingly.
- Manage confidential / sensitive information in an appropriate manner with a high level of discretion.
- Responsible for meetings and conference calls, ensuring appropriate technical arrangements are in place with necessary information distributed to appropriate events.
- Manage agendas and the associated SharePoint team sites.
- Oversee expense management for relevant team and manager, ensuring all policies are followed and items are processed within guidelines in a timely manner.
- Awareness and sensitivity of BD T&E budget and management of expenses accordingly.
- Assume lead or assist hiring managers with any recruitment needs, working closely with HR and in alignment with associate HR policies and processes.
- Work in strong partnership with other BD admins to ensure all logistics for Townhalls are met and executed.
- Provide administrative support across other areas of business development as needed.
- As a member of the BD Administrative support community, actively contribute to the growth of the admin capabilities and body of knowledge

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- 4+ years of administrative assistant experience supporting senior level leaders and interacting with external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Resilient individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates attention to detail and decision-making skills to respond to high pressure situations
- Proven ability to act independently and manage a variable workload. Imperative to work at pace with fast changing priorities and goals.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively without supervision, ability to think independently and to organize, prioritize and deliver tasks without manager guidance.
- Strong IT abilities to include Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and collaborative platforms such as SharePoint, use of inter- and intranet, WebEx and associated technologies.
- Demonstrated experience working in a matrix and team-based team approach with other EAs and Admin professionals.
- Discretion and confidence to interact with people at all levels, internally and externally with situational sensitivity
- Strong collaboration and relationship building skills. Team player with the ability to gain the confidence of and cooperation of peers.
- In depth knowledge of GSK practices and processes is an advantage but not necessary.
