About the Team & Role
The Integrated Brokerage Team based in Gloucestershire County Council is looking for an enthusiastic Administrator to join our busy and friendly system support section. Integrated Brokerage is responsible for sourcing Adult Social Care services from external care providers both within and beyond Gloucestershire. Together with other teams within the Council and partner organisations, we play a key part in monitoring and paying for those services.
In this role you’ll be part of a dynamic and supportive team of people who currently work in a hybrid way, splitting their time between working from home and in our office in Shire Hall. We keep in close contact and this job will particularly involve providing administrative support to 14 colleagues working on systems to monitor and pay for services, alongside project work. We all work hard and have a common interest in supporting vulnerable people and the organisations we have commissioned to provide them with care and support.
Please also note the wider Brokerage team provides cover over seven days to support hospital discharge. Occasional weekend working from home may be required in the systems section in future (typically 3-4 times per year) depending on service needs and development.
About You
To enjoy this role, you’ll be a confident communicator with initiative and a keen eye for detail and problem solving, particularly when working with data and online systems. A key task will be the management of our shared mailbox and other worktrays, distributing and escalating incoming correspondence. You’ll need to be organised, aware of team priorities and able to follow up in writing or by phone, adapting your communication style as appropriate, appreciating the needs of our stakeholders. You might already be familiar with financial processing and working with personal and sensitive records, and these will be part of your daily experience in the team.
About Us
Hybrid working arrangements are available for many of our roles, giving teams the opportunity to work in a way that suits them, balancing service need and individual choice, with a mix of both remote and office working.
For all your hard work, you will receive the following:
Flexible and agile working opportunities

An option to purchase 10 days of additional leave per year (pro rata for part-time staff)
