FR Scott are Hull largest independent Ironmonger. Serving some of the biggest businesses in the area since 1945, FR Scott specialise in the supply of fixings, fasteners and architectural ironmongery into the construction, engineering, manufacturing, and modular industries.
We have over 16,000 products in stock at our 30,000 sq ft warehouse and trade counter in the heart of Hull – all available for same day / next day delivery. Alongside our traditional business our ecommerce platforms are going from strength to strength with Hardware&Handles and Fix&Fast enabling us to service the entire country with our ranges.
Role
We are looking for an experienced administrative assistant to join our growing operations team. Our administrative function supports the sales, warehouse, and finance teams, enabling them to do what they do best on a daily basis. The work is varied and demanding with an emphasis on accuracy, adaptability and a positive ‘get it right first time’ attitude.
Key Accountabilities
Managing various email inboxes – distributing to relevant colleagues where necessary
Handling customer service queries from customers purchasing from our websites in a professional manner.
Dealing with supplier invoices and invoicing our account customers.
Processing sales orders when required.
Processing card payments and reconciling all payment types.
Overseeing process for returns – completing forms and processing all returns through our systems.
Data entry and file management – both hard copy and electronic.
Maintain office systems and paperwork.
Skills and Qualifications Required
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years experience of an administrative role.
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Ability to organise, schedule and adapt work tasks to meet deadlines and respond to changing situations.
Regarded as trustworthy and confidential individual.
Good I.T skills – comfortable in learning and operating processes across different systems
Strong attention to detail and a high work ethic
Right to Work in UK
Salary Range, Hours and location
Full Time
£21,673 to 22,500 dependant on experience
Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.
