35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
39 weeks, term-time only (including training days)
This is a full time term time only position which includes a wide variety of general admin duties including supporting the admin requirements of the Deputy Headteachers and other members of the Senior Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will join an experienced admin team and have access to a range of professional development opportunities and a comprehensive wellbeing package. They will be required to support some whole school events and attend a three-day first aid course to enable them to assist in covering the Welfare Officer when required.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Deputy Headteachers and other SLT members with their admin needs
- Assisting in staffing the telephone switchboard and dealing with students, staff and other visitors in a friendly and efficient manner
- Operating relevant ICT packages eg Word, Excel, Google, databases and spreadsheets to a high standard
- Assisting in the management of student records on the School Information Management System (SIMS)
- Assisting with the analysis of safeguarding incidents under the direction of a senior leader
- Providing support to staff with their data collection eg for parental reports
- Assisting with the administration of suspensions including typing letters, liaising with relevant staff, gathering paperwork for hearings and setting up governors’ panels as required
- Attending a three day training course in order to cover for the Welfare Officer when required
- Supporting whole school events such as summer results day, open evenings and parents’ information evenings as agreed.
