The Departments of OTD and Health Sciences at Cedar Crest College are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. Responsibilities include performing a broad range of duties associated with the proper operation and smooth functioning of the occupational therapy doctorate program fieldwork program. Under the direction of the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant will perform highly responsible and complex administrative and clerical work, exercising independent judgment on a broad range of needs of the office, managing student placements, correspondence, and letter preparation, managing student clearance documents, EXCEL spreadsheets, and computer programs including EXXAT, My Clinical Exchange, Formstack, Castlebranch, Adobe, and others. This is a full-time (35 hours/week), benefit eligible position, including tuition remission benefits.
The successful candidate must possess exceptional office administration knowledge and skills along with time management and organization. Proficiency with applicable technology and office software (especially Microsoft Word and Excel) is required as is a demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member with a growth mindset and striving for continuous improvement. Prior experience with time management and supporting administrative functions with being able to coordinate meetings and events, assist in answering general student questions, maintaining data and other duties is essential and strongly preferred. Familiarity with an academic environment is preferred. A bachelors degree in an applicable discipline is preferred along with work experience and familiarity in a higher education environment.
