Bridge House Medical Centre has a vacancy for an Administration Assistant to work 37 hours per week. Salary dependent on experience.

Overview of your organisation
Bridge House Medical Centre is a GP surgery with 5 Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 2 Nurses, an HCA, Clinical Pharmacist and two Advanced Clinical Prescribers alongside various Primary Care Network Additional Roles such as Social Prescribers, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Clinical Pharmacists & Physician Associates to name a few.
Main duties of the job
Providing administrative and clerical support to the clinical staff and other members of the practice team. Ensuring the smooth running of administrative functions of the practice.
- Manage the call and recall of patient safety drug monitoring diary, creating and sending appropriate blood test forms to patients and alerting appropriate clinicians of any queries related to patient monitoring.
- Manage QOF recalls alongside the IT Manager.
- Administration of incoming post on a rotational basis, ie scanning, filing to patients records, coding clinical content and ongoing tasks associated with this.
- Printing and photocopying of patients summaries and notes as and when required by the Medical Secretaries team.
- Reception support and cover when required.
- Adhoc support to the Operations Manager when required.
- Attend and participate in Reception/Administration team meetings.
- IT Skills, good knowledge of Microsoft word & excel and the understanding of internet based platforms is required.
- An understanding and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary team members.
Person Specification
GCSE or equivalent English is essential Excellent communication skills Good knowledge of Microsoft word and excel and the understanding of internet based platforms is essential Previous experience in a Primary Care setting with knowledge of EMIS software is desirable.
