ADMINISTRATOR - ADMISSIONS TEAM - FULL TIME - £21-23k depending on experience
PERMANENT OR 12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT
We are looking for a capable administrator to support the Registry & Admissions Manager in managing the Kent application and admission process for student applications to the M.Ost and BSc programmes.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and regularly update records to ensure accurate data in respect of each student’s application process.
- Make offer decisions via UCAS in-line with the Admissions Policy and process accordingly
- Assist in the management of the clearing process in particular on A-level results day
- Support prospective applicants with their enquiries regarding the application process and requirements
- Responsible for arranging student interviews and conducting them when appropriate.
- Work with the Registry & Admissions Manager and Admissions Officer (London) to co-ordinate the registration of new students
- Support the Registry and Admissions Manager at Open Days including preparation of presentation materials.
- Support the Registry & Admissions Manager with the development and review of Admissions’ policies and procedures.
- Update website in collaboration with Marketing team.
Marketing
- Attend fairs and conferences to promote BCNO and its programmes and arrange for other members of staff to attend as appropriate
- Initiate contact with local schools to raise BCNO‘s profile (e.g. email Open Day dates)
- Establish and maintain relationships with Careers’ Advisors/organisations across Kent and oversee co-ordination of work experience placements
International students
- Assist the Registry and Admissions Manager in supporting eligible international students with their Student visa application
- Ensure the BCNO is compliant in all aspects in line with UKVI legislation liaising with the Registry Manager as appropriate.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education & Qualifications
- GCSE A – C (or equivalent) in Maths and English (essential)
Experience & Knowledge
- At least 2 years experience of an administrative role (essential)
- Excellent written skills (essential)
- Good working knowledge and understanding of MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook) (essential)
- Experience of processing applications through UCAS (desirable)
Personal skills & Attributes (essential)
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, welcoming personality (essential)
- Willingness and ability to learn and understand new software and develop it to its full potential
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation (oral and written)
