An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Safeguarding Administration Team for an experienced Administrative Assistant.


The role involves providing administrative support to the Safeguarding and Quality Assurance service which is responsible for safeguarding issues in relation to children, including the oversight and review of children who are deemed to be at risk and subject to a Child Protection Plan and children placed in the care of the Local Authority.


As part of the Safeguarding and Quality Assurance service, you will provide administrative support to Independent Chairs and Independent Reviewing Officers, co-ordinate the delivery and review of child protection conferences and support the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) who is responsible for managing allegations against professionals working with children.


The Service is looking for people who thrive in a busy working environment and who can work as part of a team. We are therefore seeking applicants with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, who have a friendly, patient and confident approach with colleagues, other professionals and members of the public, to join our supportive and professional team.


You will be able to evidence that you have excellent IT skills and have the ability to quickly learn and navigate software and systems. We are looking for someone who is organised, who can take accurate notes at meetings and who is able to prioritise and manage competing demands.


In addition to all these competencies, it is essential for you to be flexible in your approach to meet the requirements of a busy team. You will have an informed and professional manner when dealing with customers and clients, and process confidential and sensitive information in line with corporate and national guidelines.

Higher level IT skills are required for the post and as such there will be an administrative IT test.


Location:


Varied – blended working arrangements which include Office (Keynsham, Midsomer Norton and Bath) and Home - given the nature of the role there will be an element of travel.
