The Chester Medical School (CMS) is an exciting new development within the University of Chester, which delivers a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in clinical medicine, medical and biomedical sciences. The School is seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant who will work within the Administrative Team providing support to a number of programmes including clinical programmes in relation to placement provision.
You will be responsible for providing administrative support for a number of programmes, working closely with School academic staff and students. As part of the CMS administrative team, you will also provide general administrative support within the School, acting as a point of contact for students, other University departments and external bodies, particularly in relation to placements.
You will be educated to ‘A Level’ standard or equivalent, have relevant experience within an administrative or clerical role as well as effective written and oral communication skills. This role requires excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with the existing administrative team as a competent team member. Experience of working in a Higher Education setting is desirable, and experience of working with NHS and other regulatory bodies would also be desirable.
