Single Point of Access Administrator

Single Point of Access (SPA) is a service that is vital to the delivery of adult community health care for housebound patients in the Herts Valleys area.
Electronic and telephone referrals from a wide variety of professionals, are channelled through the SPA on a daily basis. SPA is also responsible for managing patient enquiries for several different services. Our high performing team uses an advanced electronic patient record system.
The Single Point of Access is located on the edge of Hemel Hempstead in the recently refurbished Hemel One building which has excellent road links, plenty of free parking and on-site restaurant/kitchen facilities.
The team has a highly supportive culture and is comprised of a mixture of experienced and developing administrators working across this 7-day service. We are looking for full time and part time staff to help us grow our team. The service opening hours are 8am to 8pm and shifts are worked to cover these hours.

- Process new referrals in accordance with local Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs)
- Book clinics and appointments and manage cancellations or amendments in a timely manner
- Maintain health records as required and according to local SOPs
- Utilise relevant electronic patient record systems to enter and retrieve patient data ensuring all details are accurately recorded in a timely manner
- Provide accurate confirmation of appointments to patients
- Maintain the integrity of patient data on electronic patient records, including the creation and update of records
