- £30,151 per annum (pro rata for part time)
- 37 hours per week
- Fixed Term or Secondment for up to 12 months (Maternity / Paternity Cover)

Suffolk County Council has a great opportunity to join the Public Health and Communities directorate as a Administration Manager (Governance Officer), based at Endeavour House, Ipswich with flexible and hybrid working options.

Your role and responsibilities:
- Managing a busy administration team who support the Public Health and Communities directorate.
- Co-ordinating the business and administrative support team, including the monitoring of work programmes, achieving work priorities and resolving problems, including those escalated by the team.
- Developing and implementing consistent, efficient business support and administration processes for the directorate.
- Plan, resource and work business support projects and programmes in line with the demands of the directorate and performance reporting cycles.
- Supporting line managers with addressing HR queries, recruitment and selection of staff subject to managerial approval, including issuing contracts.
- Line managing a busy team, supporting the development of the team including those undertaking apprenticeships.
- Optimise the ICT systems and administrative processes that support the work of the team by co-ordinating requirements, implementing process improvement and identifying training needs.
You will need:
- experience managing and developing a team
- the ability to plan multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines
- good IT skills including Microsoft packages.
