Job description
An opportunity has arisen for an administration role in a busy referral veterinary practice in small animal behavioural medicine working under the direction of the Practice Manager and the Office Manager. Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of IT and in particular of Microsoft Word and Excel. The successful candidate will be a first point of contact for Behavioural Referrals Veterinary Practice and so will be required to have a professional approach.
The successful applicant will be comfortable working as part of a small team, have an eye for detail and a logical approach to administration duties.
Responsibilities:
The main role for this position is diary management. The vets travel within a 50 mile radius from the practice and so being able to use Google maps proficiently is essential. Diary management includes making and rearranging appointments, ensuring the diary is confirmed with clients and ensuring the paperwork is prepared for the vets as needed.
Alongside this role, other duties include:
- Answering phones
- Responding to client emails
- Dealing with the clinical teams requests
- Taking payments via card machine
- Perform additional administration duties as required
- Adhere to confidentiality policy and GDPR regulations at all time
