As Administration Assistant, you will be an integral member of the Wellsite Services team delivering service excellence to all clients. You will assist the Procurement Manager in purchasing administration, generating purchase orders, expediting, and dealing with invoice queries. You will be responsible for learning company purchasing policies and procedures.

This is a great entry level role for an individual looking for their first position in an office environment and an opportunity to start a career in the oil and gas industry. Applicants do not need previous experience as full training will be provided; however, they must be proficient in using Microsoft packages, be organised, enthusiastic, with good communication skills and can-do attitude.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing purchase requisitions
  • Placing purchase orders
  • Create Amendments / Variations to Purchase Orders
  • Expediting of materials
  • Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies
  • Maintain strong working relationships with our vendors
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and establish long-term purchasing arrangements with vendors when it is beneficial to the company
  • Ensure rental tracker is kept up to date
  • Provide timely responses to queries or requests from stakeholders
  • Liaising with Accounts Payable, Operations Supports and Goods-in departments
  • Resolve invoice queries in a timely manner
  • Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SCQF level 5 or 6, or NC Business & Administration (essential)

EXPERIENCE:

  • No previous experience required as training will be provided

SKILLS, TRAINING OR SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:

  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) (essential)
